Unmasking –The real us!!

Yes, It’s enough of Smart phones, Tablets, Internet, Offers, e-Commerce. Need to put a full stop to this digital world we have entered into, at least for sometime during the day & if not daily there has to be a 2-3 days a month wherein the actual crux of this life can be felt in ! The actual essence, the real world, real people, lovely nature besides us, all of it has to be felt certainly.

Let’s all pledge to take a pinch of the freshness, which will certainly play an important role to create a fragrant aura, to help us motivate ourselves, to feel an unsullied spanking new life, but the main question arises how?

Will the detoxification lies in just one line-

Leave behind your digital world. Switch off your mobiles, tablets, laptops, no shopping, no mails, no Whats app, no Facebook/Twitter..Nothing!

So what next, well you will be flooded with bright thoughts to spend this lovely time, for me, I would love to spend a complete day with my hubby, kid & close friends as–

  1. Venture out for exploring the beautiful sparkling Sunrise, right next to the garden close to my place. Wouldn’t it be a great idea to embrace the nature around us, walking hand in hand with people you love? Walking through the greens with a cup of coffee, hearing the chirping of birds, looking high to the rising sun, gleaming at the beautiful fresh flowers around, yes, this will be a perfect start for us, valuing the nature & relations!
  2. Following to the “Raahgiri” (well ,if it is on Sunday’s & for Delhi ,else you can plan your own in the colony you stay) ,to unwind , to cycle up to the location & try few wonder steps with friends to check on the left stamina (not just dance but yes would definitely go for aerobics ,Yoga & Meditation) .This can be a perfect platform to enjoy the beautiful mornings with friends in a fruitful manner .Lost enough of energy ?So ,next would come pouncing on protein shakes for family & spices free sprouts with milk –muesli & a nutritious yummy breakfast from so many options to chose from !Don’t forget no touching of the Phone/TV/Laptop/..No temptations! Well I’m sure this energetic morning would make a great start for a digital free beautiful world 🙂
  3. Well, what to do now? Think on your lost passions- Sketching? Oh Yes ,I thought of it so many times ,but this bloody 24 hours ,they seem so small for me (as the world revolves around E-Commerce ,Whats app ,Facebook only) or Playing Scrabble with family or want to recall those innocent Ludo /Snakes & Ladder/UNO play ? Yes, try out; they can all still be so much fun together.
  4. Forgot the forceful nap mom used to ensure we took in the afternoon as a kid? Don’t have a time for even a power nap? Well, so this day belongs to purify your soul. Have a deep sound sleep to find yourself blissful & well ready for an exciting evening waiting ahead..
  5. For sure ,let me see kids play ,let me hear people laughing out loud (in real world) ,let me grab the rackets in open sky once again .So this takes me to a big garden where again I’ve fallen prey to mother nature ,to help me rebound those young days & let me play disc , try some smashing shots on the badminton I loved playing ,sit with elders & have a lovely chat with them ,make them feel lively ,to again embrace the beautiful sunset ,not amidst the trails of cars but a perfect scene to see the rays changing the colour & setting in slowly ..Not an end, there has to be a welcome to “Chanda Mama”:)
  6. Well, we did plan a good “Antakshari session” in the late evening, with friends pouring in (with a condition …No mobiles) & that was rocking, we ate, sang, danced to our own tunes! It was astounding really, without any disturbances.

So a beautiful day was coming to an end, but the starry night awaited for us on the terrace. Taking quick steps towards the terrace, I again wished to count on those shiny stars, to trace Great dipper, figuring out Jupiter & Mars & trying to explain all of it to my kid .Wow ,It was so much of fun ,we sat there for some 2 hours ,only to see ourselves enjoying the real world , spending a peaceful quality time & cuddling the nature around us !It was an introspection time. It was my time which made me pledge to have many such days in a month, without any beep beeps!

One more pledge came ,not just to have more of similar days ,but to have couple of such days out from the metro ,direct in the lap of nature ,to jump to nature’s least crowded places ,wherein me ,my loved ones could have just “Our time” ,trekking & Playing in the lap of gorgeous nature ,in the farms ,on the hills ,on the grasslands , exploring the flora & fauna ,living the way villagers do!! Interacting with the locals, understanding their livelihoods, culture all means so much, If we can have all this by ourselves, why is Google required? Well, my blood is gushing to see myself unwinding in this manner.

Yes, that’s what is the real togetherness for me, to get close to nature with the loved ones, to hear out others, that is moving from reel to real world for me!

Have a look at this Kissan video stating the “Real Togetherness with Nature”

Living on the Edge -Pangong -Leh part IV

An Excursion to Pangong:

PANGONG TSO lake , a synonym of pristine ,exquisite ,magnificent nature! & yes ,this is the last scene where 3 Idiots was shot. Getting curious?? Read on..

This day started as early as 6am to start off for Pangong & have a magnificent time there.

A bit of history:

Situated at approx. 4250mts ,far away in the barren terrain of Ladhak ,this gorgeous lake spread across 134 kms ,60% of which lies in China(Basically Tibet ,but the region is controlled by Chinese) & rest 40% in India. It falls under the Army & require special approvals to access the same (An Inner Line Permit is required to visit the lake as it lies on the Sino-Indian Line of Actual Control)

Travel from Leh to Pangong :

Approx. 155-160 Kms from Leh , it took us some 5 hours to reach Pangong lake via Changla Pass.

The scintillating route is something which keeps you binding & fall in love with this place even before reaching.

So the route took as –

Leh –Karu (45 Kms) ,this is the easiest Leh Manali stretch which makes your car run with great road maintenance

Karu –Chang La(35Kms) – Initially the roads are good but once Changla peak is touched which again gives you a cold chill in itself , slowly the roads begin to deteriorate. Hault at CHangla is a must to enjoy the chill waves & have some play in the snow spreaded across. At 17800 ft ,it is the 2nd highest pass & you can have a very warn handshake & pic with the saviours of our Nation…Our very own Army:) .On the top ,there is a Changla Baba temple with a little story & a cabin to protect oneself from the shrill of weather & enjoy some hot black tea & momo’s!!

Salute!

Salute!

Chang La -Tanskey (58Kms) – Next few Kms are a real adventure with dreaded roads in a very difficult terrain ,but the serene natural beauty is damn sure make you forget the tough time.. Although a rough patch ,but the amazing changing views & all shades of nature in a single stretch makes you feel stunned. Grasslands with little wild flowers in the mid ,rivulet flowing near to it ,huge rocky mountains on left & snowy caped in right? Isn’t it a miraculous place to be at? Horses running down the grasses just adds to the beauty of the passage. We did stop & took break for 15-20 minutes to capture these enticing scenes & imprison them in our eyes & minds for ever:)

What a beauty!!

What a beauty!!

Chang -La:)

Chang -La:)

Tangste (Tanskey) has few hotels & is a good place for a lunch stoppage!

Tanskey –Pangong Tso (32 Kms) – The similar views continue in this passage ,with sometimes water streams in the mid of the roads making a good splash & awakening you for a gala time . A mini crystal blue lake appears some 5-7 kms before the actual origin of Pangong ,which made a picnic spot for us.. Locating numerous fishes ,portraying the beauty & having Sandwiches made our 30-40 minutes fantastic one.

Hurray..New Found Picnic Spot!

Hurray..New Found Picnic Spot!

And yes in this stretch ,you will find numerous “Marmot” running here & there..Do keep an open eye to locate these beautiful creatures:) . You could also locate Ibex & beautiful horses post Chang La.

Cutie Pie!!

Cutie Pie!!

hawnnnnn..

hawnnnnn..

The air soars with freshness ,smiles crops ups widening slowly as some pristine ,huge ,very huge lake starts to appear .Simply breathtaking panorama ,every sight wants to be clasped ,embraced ..Such is the power of this location! The banks house Military camp & few Eco –huts as well. Drive on the rocky terrain until you reach close enough to the lake & appraise the tranquillity.

Here comes Pangong:

One of the brackish lakes in Asia ,the very first glimpse of this pristine Bluish –greenish lake made me fall in Love with itJ Winters leave this lake completely frozen ,despite it being completely saline lake(have even heard of few camps which allow walking on it& can be a superb adventure ,do browse if you wanna try something like this) . Sunrays coming amidst the mountains make the water change its shades so often that you feel magical here. Just don’t do anything ,sit & play on the beach ,walk in the lake near to shores , gaze at the beautiful birds as Brahmani Ducks ,Brown –headed gulls ,Black –necked cranes (if you are lucky enough to spot the specie) ,capture every scene ,as these few hours will make the best & an unforgettable moment for a lifetime. Due to salinity ,there is not much aquatic life or Fishes here except crustaceans.

Scintillating View

Scintillating View

You’ll never feel to go back to camp site or hotel or even the town you came from ..Such is the binding property of this paradise, serenity which allows you to feel bliss, forgetting all behind! It was this location which prompted me to visit at least once a year & it has been twice that I have been here in past 2 years!

Migratory Bird!!

Migratory Bird!!

Important :

  1. There is no eatery close to it ,so better carry your eatables /food along
  2. Best time to visit is May  -September
  3. Better get your car/Bike tanks full as there are no pumps after Karu

By evening we had to bid adieu to this lake & happily returned back to the hotel.

Last day@Ladhak:

Last day was a complete relaxation & a self-drive/walk mode for us .Never wishing to return back ,but this trip had come to an end ,but yes we vowed to love this place for life time & pledged to begin a living at some point of life to have the complete harmony amidst tranquillity of Ladhak!

GOOD BYE!! Miss u

Meeting with Serenity ::NUBRA ::Leh PART II

PART II : NUBRA To LEH via Diskit Monastery

A lovely cloudy morning welcomed us again, drizzling all through the greens of our cottage & we enjoying on the “sleep nets” tied across the trees, relaxing lazily in the morning drizzles. No work, no responsibility, only gazing at the mesmerizing nature was the work left to us;) .After having han interesting breakfast at the cottage of yummy aloo parantha’s ,sipping hot elaichi tea sitting amidst the trees gave a great encounter of the tranquillity. Post breakfast we had to head back to Leh via monastery visit as Diskit & Samstanling!

Beauty!

Beauty!

So, here we reach Diskit Monastry: We visited Leh , Diskit Gompa in the month of July & we were amazed by the incredible magnificence of nature lying in this region.

Diskit Monastery is situated in Nubra Valley, on top of a hill (close to 60-70 stairs), above the plains of river flowing close by from the huge rocky mountains (which can be heard gushing through the mountains) while climbing the hill for monastery.

It is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (termed as gompa’s in Leh) & encompasses the statue of “Maitreya” Buddha in the prayer hall, a huge drum and several images of fierce guardian deities. Just opposite to the Buddha prayer hall, is another part of monastery, having huge statue of “Maa Durga” which is said to be worshiped only once a year.

Near Diskit monastery is a massive scintillating, 32 mt. Buddha Statue termed as “Future Buddha”& can be seen overhead the hill. View from this place gives heavenly peace & ensure that we fall in love with the nature once again!

Future Buddha!!

Future Buddha!!

Also ,Route to Nubra Valley gives you the most stupendous enjoyable & chilling feel ,while crossing “Khardung La” (18379 ft) &It can be acclaimed that this place is the heavenly abode & not to be missed in lifetime. En-route, we were lucky enough when God showered Snowflakes on us..For some 4-5 kms we experience light snow flakes, so pleasant, a complete merriment!!

SnowFlakes:) Yooo

SnowFlakes:) Yooo

Samstanling Monastery, located in one of the remotest villages ,Summor Village ,is a place amidst a picturesque valley. Home to some 50-60 Monks ,it’s a calm ,serene place , close to which flows waterfall & a stream from huge mountains in the back .Also un-crowded ,this place especially amidst waterfall gives you a gala time to chill out in the stream.

A travel of 5 hours brought us back to Leh, & after having yummy Lafa’s & Almond cakes at the local restraunt, we proceeded for the most awaited visit to Leh Market .With an amazing collection of art ,stones ,Leh Bazaar is an optimum place for antique lover with lots of souvenirs & some fabulous art available . Relaxed ,returned at our lovely stay to enjoy a fulfilling mean in the evening.

Tranquil Lansdowne!! My Travel diary with my KID

Travel Brief :

  • Location –Lansdowne (Pauri district of Uttarakhand ,45 Kms of Kotdwar)
  • Best Duration – Feb end –May ,September –November ,rains set in during July
  • How to go about – About 250 Kms from Delhi ,one can opt for private car/Train (Delhi –Kotdwar)
  • Major Attractions : Tip n Top ,Bhulla Tal ,Garhwal museum ,St. Mary’s Church ,Tarkeshwar Mahadev temple

It had been approx. 6 months of going through the preeminent & simultaneously the most rigorous phase in life of any woman…Yes, I’m talking about Motherhood..A fascinating beginning, a significant optimism, a sparkling smile, is what this word ushers our lives with!

First time experience had to be adventurous, with bounty of new surprises day by day ,some snatching the leisure time ,compelling us to work more hard ,& some bringing a sense of joy & contentment within! But ,amongst all this ,I had waited that as soon as my kid turns 6m ,Me ,a “traveloholic” person would begin my travel diary again(after a break of approx.a year) & yes I had been frantically googling for a leisure trip nearby to Delhi.

Many places in Uttarakhand shortlisted, few rejected keeping in mind sudden changes of temperature for the 6m old, some rejected for long distances..A frenzied me…24 hours of hunt zeroed out the little pristine hill station of “Lansdowne”, a weekend Garhwali destination to rejuvenate & chill out!

Gusto set in me!!Well it was a well deserved break!! Bags packed & we (along with our travel friends) boarded our train direct to the Kotdwar, a perfect ride with kids enjoying their first train journey with ample eagerness! Gush of winds blowing past our faces , Little drizzling ,fragrance of wet trees @Kotdwar while climbing own the train itself enthralled me & I dreamt of a perfect 3 day weekend!

So easy to reach Lansdowne from Kotdwar, frequent 8-10 seaters available which drop to the destined hotel..Well, we had intentionally got a resort booked which was some 20 Kms before Lansdowne main city..S.B. Mount Resort —A perfect resort –

    • Giving a sense of Freshness & tranquillity
    • A sense of adventure by trekking on the hills opposite to it
    • A sense of closeness to nature ,with the rivulet flowing across it
    • An opportunity for Bird watching & might be lucky if some deer’s say Hi in the mornings due to its vicinity to Jim Corbett!!

We reached our resort by 4pm, with hunger pangs reckoning our body systems…Within 5 minutes, we requested resort manager to arrange lunch tables for us..Wow, that seemed absolutely pleasant, table in lawn, stream flowing across, & we pouncing on nearly home-made food..Paneer lababdaar ,mix veg.,daal makhani ,raita ,kheer ,salad…& hot fulka’s..In just 5 minutes I felt myself so vivid, so overwhelmed being in vicinity to the nature. A stomach full lunch demands some rest …but don’t forget our 6 months old kids were with us..So had to make them take a nap for at least & hour which gave us also the chance to relax..

Weather was pleasant, drizzling had stopped, stomach was tight, all this called for a trek right ahead on the hillock opposite to the resort..But the question…KIDS?? C’mmon, for adventure loving parents, kids might have got those genes right at the birth. So, we decided to take them along with us..Harsh , narrow ,insignificant path throughout the trek..Didn’t knew where it would lead to…few steps & then anxiety of kids gripping us…but yes we did it…we reached the top ,which was a big plane ,with a spectacular scene of the surroundings !!Wow, it gave us a great sense of accomplishment! With sun-setting in the scene cannot be described..We just stayed & captured the beauty in our lenses for next 30-35 minutes..As the night was beginning to fall, we decided to climb down & reach back for a tempting Dinner .Day 1 passed chatting across the tables, mostly around these naughty boys, their tantrums & plan for next 2 days 🙂

Day2:

It had to be special, very special, with clouds engulfing all night & experiencing good rains .Morning was stunning…Little sunshine peeking from the huge trees & drizzling simultaneously made a merry morning! Soon drizzling stopped & we decided to welcome dawn by having coffee besides the river stream, puling our chairs across it..So serene, so calm, it had been ages I had experienced this serenity (before this my last trip was to China, which didn’t got me into calm mode ;))

A rejuvenating hour …shook…wake up…my kid was wailing in search of me 😉 Yes, it was his breakfast time too & my coffee time was over !So an hour of cajoling & pampering, we all got ready to head towards Lansdowne..Well the manager had suggested..Book a cab for an easy ride…but we don’t understand easiness ;)Well, we planned to opt for local bus & have its ride..God, such an entertaining ride was it…Kids almost slept & we enjoying local music, with those sharp & steep twists & turns reached main town of Lansdowne..Well, it’s a pretty small town & requires just a day to enjoy the tourist places & rest dedicate all time to admire the beauty it entails within itself.

We covered 5 places in a span of 8-9 hours, although a bit hectic yet delightful…

5Lansdowne

With a day full of bliss, calmness, we returned back to our hotel by 8 in the night only to find an amazing night hosted with DJ & dance floor ready for us to rock with the nature!
A break of 30 minutes to stretch out & then we rocked the dance floor with other groups as well..That was absolutely astonishing & a memorable experience to make our lil kido dance in our arms .With no mood to stop ,rather bon fire in the midst of windy night elevated our moods & for next 2 hours there was no looking back from the dance floor (yes ,we took breaks to pacify ,feed kids ) ,but that was the perfect ending of the day ..Seeing hot gulab jamuns at the other end of the table, mouth watered us & finally we planned to break from the dance floor & grab the sumptuous hot dinner & yummy delicacies of halwa & Jamun’s
What a sparkling day it was!
Day 3:
Well Lansdowne has nothing more than this, but we had our train in after noon, so had a great chance to experience another captivating morning!
This morning gave me a chance to watch beautiful birds, although drizzling post 8 narrowed down my search, but still I was pleasantly surprised & glad to follow those colourful birds to capture them .

A relaxed breakfast made our start ecstatic & we decided to climb down into the stream to have some delightfully brilliant pic before returning back to the hustle bustle city of Delhi!
Very short but a blissful trip, a must visit place to experience serenity!!!

Do’s & don’t with kids as small as 6 months –
1. Plan a short trip of 2-3 days only as it does not hamper your kid’s routine
2. Try to make journey as comfortable as it can be ;Train is one of the most comfortable mode & kids too enjoy it
3. Check out the weather on Hill stations & do take along an extra inner wear for kids
4. Don’t plan travel/sightseeing at a stretch, take tours of some 4-5 hours & then break for relaxation with kids.
5. Prefer not to take kids on twisty routes as we took from Lansdowne to Tarkeshwar as kids are prone to motion sickness on those routes & vomit out frequently, also they become cranky on those routes.
6. Do take Gripe Water/Bonisan to avoid constipation to kids

Pursuit of Happiness!!

Happiness is a single word which pleases &creates an aura of positivity in the surroundings. Few people go in search of big things to get happy, but the fact is, if we try to live & enjoy very small things in life, we are bound to be happy every day .Happiness comes in small packets rather than big bags, & it is these special moments of life daily which helps building a happy man 🙂

Similar is the case with me & in my life wherein multiple things ranging from satisfaction at workplace ,to being a great cook ,to loving& serving my family members & finally being a mother gives me immense happiness & satisfaction towards the life ,but there are few points worth mentioning & elaborating which means the most to me & my life.

  1. My Time with my 8 month Old kid: Being a mother is the most beautiful essence of life, the most beautiful moment which brings immense happiness every day, rather every hour & every minute. To see the smiles on the face of my budding young man ,to have a glimpse of his reactions ,to listen to his shouts ,to see the ups & downs ,rock and roll ,are actually so pleasant ,so lovely ,that there is a consistent smile on my face when he is with me. As of now, my kid is the biggest moment of happiness & joy for me.
  2. Sketching: Painting, since the days I was young, in school, has always fascinated me. Although not an avid lover of Modern art, but the nature & human sketches had always fascinated me. This love transformed me when I found my happiness in sketching portraits, human emotions on the big canvas. Whenever I’m sad or depressed or have ample time for myself, giving an hour or two for sketching brings an immense joy in my life & brings my life back on the same pace. I have a collection of some 200 sketches done by me in the past 5 years, having a look at them ushers a new hope in me always.
  3. Travelling: Being an adventure junkie, a travel lover, exploring new places, doing rounds of challenging activities have always been on my hit list. Be it from tier-3 river rafting ,Cliff jump ,Parasailing ,Under water walk ,Submarine rides ,Walking with lions ,Banana Rides ,Mountaineering ,have all given me immense happiness & a great sense of satisfaction. There is still a big list waiting to challenge me, few of which are Sky diving, crossing the English Channel which I’m bound to complete in coming years very soon. Thrill, courage, contentment, ecstatic is all what I feel when I’m indulged in travel & adventure trips.
  4. Blogging : Since kid ,I used to pen down my daily dairy be it my tasks ,or some attractive scene captured or some different human behaviour or be it my life & this activity has transformed into Blogging recently .Blogging on various topics be it Travel or Motherhood or writing down my emotions has compelled me to write more and more & has given me immense happiness. So here goes my list which brings maximum happiness out of me, which brings a sense of accomplishment & achievement in my life.

Lost passion to Lost in Passion

Things that Define me?!!
Working Marketing professional ,A mother &homemaker wandering across on weekends ,narrating them in the form of my writing passion ….This relates to my small world with lots & pots of zeal to conquer every moment ,to explore the unexplored ,to spend life travelling across ,kicking myself into acts of adrenaline rush ,& at the end of the day to be an innocent & lively girl of my parents ,to be the best love of my hubby & the Best mother of my 5 month old kid”!!!

Every person on this planet has some passion, some innate distinctive eminence which distinguishes one personality from another. It’s not just the uniqueness of the finger prints, but matchless adjectives ,exclusive hobbies that group together to form an identity.

The generalized formula to describe one would be : Adjectives +Passions & Hobbies

Well ,the adjectives that form me ,my personality ,in accordance with my name – JHILMIL = Joyous or Jocular (for my KID), Hearty, Intellectual, Lively, Meticulous Mom ;), Industrious, Lovable Wifey;) !

& Indeed most of them in some combination & with some extra’s as Possessiveness, Care, Responsible are innate qualities of a Women ,of a Mother.

So being a working Mother of a Kid ,it is not just a single passion yet alive in me ,but complete bouquet of passion to cater to my “Chanchal Mann”. Being grown up in a service class family ,with both parents working ,independence reigned me very soon .Being the youngest & the most loving kid in the family ,I was a victim of high expectations ,&targeted as “Parents dream Achiever “not just with respect to studies ,but in all extra-curricular activities be it sports or Dancing or Singing or Elocutions ,or Poetry or Drawing. Dragged into all ,I was not just a trained Kathak dancer but at the same time was Black Belt in karate ,100m Winner athlete, fine skilled in sketching (winning many competitions in School & district level) ,& a poetry reciting girl in many “Kavi sammelan’s” (poetry formed by my dad ,with great work in Urdu & Hindi) .All this instilled a sense of all round ambition in me! This ambition further grew as I went for higher studies & gave me a great success in my Graduation& MBA by winning a Gold Medal in both!

But all this while ,to fulfil my parents dreams, dreams which I saw in their eyes , which they could not achieve for themselves & in this journey of achieving immense happiness for them ,I somehow lost myself ,my & only my passions (which were sketching ,Writing articles & Blogs ,Travelling & opting for adventure activities ,exploring arts & local cuisines)

So, losing on my actual passions in the passage of Life , I realized some time back ,with my husband pitching me strong enough to re-live my happy moments ,to enjoy what I actually love doing the most ,& then started my journey of so called “What it calls for -To re-live passion” !

I started all through, beginning with my profound love for pencil sketching ,which grew leaps & bounds ,from writing up my personal diary to Travel blogs & now to tech & Motherhood blogs ,from not just travelling for the sake to see but travelling for the sake to live my life on thrills ,on adventure ,to pounce on food not just to fill tummy, but to relish delicacies (although Veg. ) wherever I’am:)

PhotoGrid_1421590167044

Me being adventure Junkie, made me opt for activities as :

High tide rafting in Rishikesh ,Ladhak ,Teesta (gangtok) ,which unnerved my notion of rafting as a “Joyous merri -time ride”, while exploring level 3& 4 Rafting , Splendid, simply superb my heart pounding loud enough upon this achievement ,as I screamed , yelled ,tears flowing down the eyes with a smile on the faces thanking GOD for giving me such a scintillating memories of all our lives.
40ft high Cliff jumping : An unnerving, sensation less feeling ,sudden shivering of hands & legs, face turning pale & driving me numb all  through, standing at the edge of the hillock .Thinking & praying all the Gods & pardoning for all misdeeds ,I just wished GOD to be my saviour  & yes I did it ,I plunged myself from this height into the hands of Ma Ganga. No words of Oxford could have ever described those flash of moments ,as soon as I bumped deep in the river & came out with loud thump with a sense of satisfaction !
Under Sea Walk : With the turbulent water currents, strong weights put around my waist ,huge mask ,I was not even able to stand & I had to walk  ,this took little time to understand the underwater moves but it became an auto function soon, once we were surrounded by colourful corals ,beautiful yellow ,blue fishes  swimming around us & we giving small bread pieces to those beautiful free living creatures. Amazed to see huge corals ,all of different shapes! Simply Incredible tour of the under sea life !
The Ultimate Sky Ride “Parasailing” : Tied up from our legs holding the strings of parachute set in a specific pose ,marked our readiness to fly high in the skies..1 minute more & yes it went up ,up & more up ,more high in the deep blue sky.Amazing ,no word could’ve explained that moment ,eyes wide opened ,peeping the surroundings ,across the vast ocean down ,our friends ,waving at us. Peeping down just shivered me ,as we sensed highness from the ocean. Simply Scintillating!
A Gallantry act of Walk with Lions for 45 min: How to explain the moment seeing at two huge Lions coming out & marching straight towards us ,What a moment that was ,hearts beating in sync (more than 200 beats) ,body shivering & turning pale , but at the same moment this fabulous scene made us fall in love with the Majestic beasts. NO reservations against calling this as “WONDER OF WORLD” ,an adventure never to miss ,FEAR FACTOR & enthralling moment ,Panic & ecstatic feelings ,all gushing at the same time !

& many more thrills as Kayaking ,jet skiing ,Swimming with Dolphins ,Submarine ride ,Jungle adventures !

Apart from the thrill ,I found a love with my newly discovered Passion post marriage, that of cooking ,specially Baking Cakes (from the simplest vanilla cake, to have with coffee during leisure & reading time ,to the Apple crunchy cake, Carrot cake ,Marble &strawberry –Choco cheese cakes ),muffins as Choco & Banana muffins ,Garlic breads ,Various Italian delicacies (turning out to google for all brilliant recipes & copying with pride) .This has soaked me with immense happiness as a great cook & an ever-learning cook:)

It seems ,with the advent of every new phase in life ,with a broad open mind one does fall prey for many interests ,& I discovered a new passion of “Human Photography” with the onset of my Baby ! Well ,never into the pictorial mood for humans( yes ,I was an Avid photographer of Nature ,Of those humongous mountains, barren or snow clad ,free flowing river ,mesmerizing Flora & fauna during Safari’s) ,but arrival of my baby turned on my Photography genes which indulged me to upgrade from click & shoot camera to DSLR camera .Now the day passes photographing my kido in different swings ,moods actions & this is growing further to capture surrounding human emotions & art related to it.

Well, my list of passions is never gonna recede but will keep on flourishing with new statures ,new endeavours in life ,to give life a new meaning ,a new definition altogether.

So ,I guess I can dynamically term myself ,A Traveloholic Professional Mother ,with great interests in Sketching, Photography & Food tasting cum cooking!

“Mother of beaches” :::Land of Mauritius!! Part (2/2)

Continuing from Part I —-Day 2 & day 3

Day 2: Encountered a calm serene drizzy morning, clouds hiding the sun in their monopoly. Breakfast followed a trip to the “Ship Model factory”, great artifacts by the locals ,perfect place to get souvenirs from!
A touch on the Volcanic site did not create any volcano of the emotions ,as the site had been redundant & was alive 7000 years back ,but now it was completely covered with huge trees & a small stream flowing through.
Amazingly ,we did see Alexandra waterfalls but “Ganga Talao” encompassing Brilliantly carved stupendous huge Bronze statue of Lord Shiva, built In by Indian craftsmen, gave us a sense of pride to be an Indian. But the next trip to fascinating “Seven colored earth” was attention grabbing. One place with sand of 7 identifiable different colors ,due to natural sedimentation & salt depositions was remarkable. Even  if these sands are washed away by the rains, due to natural processes ,these colorful strata’s are re-created ,amazing mother earth!
Lets figure out seven diff colors —
This day was a short trip but we decided to ensure Fun filled water activities. Reaching Hotel was soon marked by big rounds of kayaking, Windsurfing ,Pedallo ,all from our very own Hotel. Kayaking ,deep In the sea was such a leisure ,slow moving raft ,waves coming nearby & trying to pull us apart ,picturesque mountains on one end & infinite sea on the other end ,we in the mid ,deeply in love with the nature with one another ,a feeling to never ever come out from this leisure.
A warm meeting by 2 Indian couples made this day more enchanting ,by playing some Beach Badminton & Volley ball by the Males of our group .Huge round of gossips ,laughter’s , play ,beach side night walk made our day to the fullest!
Next day had to be the most thrilling one, with day full of escapades & the most looked for day of the trip.
Day 3: Early morning bags were packed with extra clothing, accessories to start trip to Ilex Island.
So the whole bouquet of interesting pursuits-
Parasailing ,Under sea walking, Bumpy Tube ride  waterfalls created a hullabaloo amongst us!
It all started with Speed jet picking us from the beach to the “Platform” in the sea to initiate the “Under water walk”.Being a non swimmer ,the turbulence of water & the fear of survival under the water shook me hard ,but it had to be done to create my memories.
The preparedness was marked with a belt with the strong weights put around my waist ,special footwears ,big heavy oxygen mask covering my head & face ,special gesture language to be used under the water in case of any emergency or requisites ,God ,all this was like a dream unnerving me throughout!
1-2-3 …splash & yes there I was inside the sea ,4 more coming inside tied to me one by one ,OMG I was not even able to stand & I had to walk  ,this took lil time to understand the underwater moves but it became an auto function soon, once we were surrounded by colorful corals ,beautiful yellow ,blue fishes  swimming around us & we giving small bread pieces to those beautiful free living creatures. Amazed to see huge corals ,all of different shapes for the first time in life ! Simply Incredible tour of the under sea life ,with a feeling to explore it more ,our new expedition awaited us for the next.
The most hilarious “Tube Ride”,a banana Tube (capacity of 4 people),tied with the speed jet boat ,was all set to give us the most amazing twists & turns. Gosh !This was the most horrific yet hilarious bumpy & speedy ride ,which made us scream ,laugh & cry all at the same moment as the tube took abrupt twists & turns ,whirling at such high speed that we took this ride by aghast!!  A must do adventure to get an unnerving experience with all emotions in one go!
Expressions say it all
Then awaited the next round of our escapades ,a travel via speed boat to another platform amidst the mesmerizing ocean surrounding us…A platform for the sky ride “Parasailing”, A parachute awaiting to bring forth an aerial world.
So we both tied up from our legs holding the strings of parachute set in a specific pose ,marked our readiness to fly high in the skies..1 minute more & yes it went up ,up & more up ,more high in the deep blue sky.
Amazing ,no word could’v explained that moment ,eyes wide opened ,peeping the surroundings ,across the vast ocean down ,our friends ,waving at us. Peeping down just shivered me ,as we sensed highness from the ocean. For next 12 minutes ,we enjoyed our aerial survey  every bit of it ,when the time stopped & we slowly & steadily took our swift flight back to the Platform .
All these fabulous events had sparked hunger sensation & this took us to “Masala Restraunt”aside the beach ,an altogether marvelous ambience in the lap of nature ,designed in the form of Huts ,with each family allotted a single Hut .To our utter surprise ,we just relished finding “Indian thali & Biryani” on the menu ,& it just rejuvenated our energy back. Enjoyed sun bath for next one hr @the scintillating beach of Ilex ,walking ,collecting beautiful colored sea shells & Corals from the shore.
Reached our hotel in the evening ,with deep craving for good tight sleep, as more escapades were approaching in the next 2 days.
