End of Black & White era

This idea sucks! It completely sucks! This society will not let me live in peace, so what it means an Old mansion for me. Life has struck 12’0..n there is a deep silence.. Neurons aren’t working, Mom’s extra “almonds” are paying off no results, it seems I am in Pre-Edison life, that dark life.

Health has begun taking a toll, BP is constantly on a rise, Migraine is a perfect companion not willing to take divorce, Doctors have become best friends & clinics my new “Pub”.

Suddenly, on the other side of the hi-chair, a lean freaky voice tried giving a sobbing advice.. Go take the pain, I’am the survivor of it! Forget “Life is a heaven for next few months, get you house renovated & painted”. Huh, but how to get rid of those seepages, who seem to give me the showers more than Cherrapunji?

And a dark silence broke..I had no solutions, deal was locked in the mind..I tried calling our yesteryear “Kisan Uncle”to take over the mansion for next few months.

I was willing to take an adventure break – right out there in an opposite park! People awarded the adventurous girl with a really “Tainted tented days”. Just some days on & my mansion had turned into dusty unhealthy jungle ..Wished I could measure the AQI then.

Kisan uncle had painted more of the furnitures & side bars rather than doing over the walls. It all seemed so tortured, it felt I had some magical spell ,a perfect black magic the day I took that decision. I shouted for a help this time from the core of my heart.

Society is so much willing to help people post disaster, so much empathy & advices poured in. “Ram has a wonderful hand…Meera kaki will clean up all the task…why don’t you go for self-making your room..blah blah” .

Right Property Investments After Demonetization

As the short-term effects of demonetization continue to play out, investors across India have begun contemplating which long-term moves may be the most beneficial to them. A disruptive event is often a great opportunity to rethink fundamentals, and this case is no different. The present moment is an apt time to evaluate and re calibrate one’s portfolio, especially in terms of property ownership.

It is widely expected that banks, newly flush with enormous deposits of rupees, will lower interest rates—which will in turn increase asset prices, including that of real estate. However, not all property markets are created equal. Neither, for that matter, are all property transactions. A solid grasp of the dynamics in play, including the effects of lower interest rates and reduced black money on the different types of property, will enable the savvy investor to profit from demonetization.

In India’s new-economy urban centers, which see a sturdy trend of white-collar, salaried employees purchasing property with cheques and bank loans, the sudden disappearance of 500- and 1000-rupee notes is unlikely to have a huge impact on real estate practices. In Bangalore, for example, it is estimated that only 5% of transactions for apartments in the mid-range segment of the market involve cash dealings. This is at enormous variance to more traditional cities (such as Mumbai and Delhi) or in the higher end segment of the market (properties exceeding one crore), where cash has passed from one hand to another far more freely. The implication for investors is that cities with a higher rate of new economy jobs are more stable and attractive, especially in the case of mid-range properties. Bangalore, with its size-able proportion of salaried professionals and mortgage-purchased properties, is the strongest example of such a city, followed by Pune and, to a lesser extent, Chennai. For assets with these favorable locations and price points, investors need not fret about demonetization softening demand—rather, they can expect reduced interest rates to boost demand.

With land transactions, the dynamics are somewhat different. There are scenarios in which land prices will rise and others in which they will fall. Vast parcels of land in and around major urban areas are typically purchased either by developers or by individuals with the deepest of pockets. For buyers accustomed to institutional financing—primarily the more reputable developers—the effect should be minimal; however, other parties, such as individuals with deep pockets who used to deploy cash, will be adversely affected and may temporarily have to sit on the sidelines. Thus, the demonetization is likely to benefit large developers vis-à-vis individual investors or smaller developers. In tier 2 or smaller cities, where there are few purchasers with access to institutional financing, demonetization could reduce property prices since all purchasers are likely to be affected.

Increased taxes and anchoring will add to the dynamic mix of factors affecting real estate after demonetization. The reduction in black money is, in effect, equivalent to an increase in the tax rates since the “tax-free” portion of transactions could diminish. As with any other industry, an increase in tax will work to increase the final price to the end user because sellers are anchored in the after-tax realization that they want. This increase in costs will be passed on to the final buyer in the form of higher property prices, particularly in the markets where demand is not affected by the demonetization.

The consequences of demonetization will create winners and losers in the real estate sector, depending on the property type, location, and price point. Investors should ideally park their money in mid-priced properties in the urban centers of India with the highest percentage of white-collar and new economy buyers. Conversely, investors should avoid properties that may not fare as well: properties in tier 2 cities, assets with high prices, and properties in the more traditional urban centers.

As demonetization creates a new normal in India, those who focus their property investments toward new-economy professionals can expect to come out as winners.

Pink :: Captivating Dark TRUTH -Movie Review

“NO” is not just a word but a complete sentence in itself ,No means NO , if a girl says to her friend or to an unknown or even if a wife says to a husband!! This dark story leaves you suspicious & cynical with the so called “Friends”,one have to have faith for the first time to convert the “Jaan pehchaan” into friendship & this is when these cold –blooded “not so holy cows” take their seat!

Wearing shorts or skimpy dresses ,a friendly talk or a drink doesn’t define a girl’s character to be called as “Promiscuous” or hanging out with boys doesn’t define they are into some “pesha” ,yes this story claims upon the “Moral rule book for girls ”out rightly as a sarcasm. If our boys are safe with no tinge of feudalism, we the girls will be safe everywhere!

The actual incident gets so brilliantly hidden in the “thanking names” ,you just hear some conversations in the back drop & it’s only in the end (during end credits) that you get to see the actual incident which happened in a resort at Surajkund (so called “Surajkund Kand”) between three young girls & three brats ,one from an influential society. One need to scratch up the heads & hear out the conversations & the dark plot to understand what could have happed that night.. Why did the girls hang with the unknown guys? What was the trigger that drew Meenal to hit Rajveer with the drink bottle which could have taken his life..Its not very soon that the “plot” would have got framed in your mind!

Compromise, but only till your heart allows!! But what if even then the monsters wish to teach you a lesson (for not getting sexually engaged with them & hitting out for self defence) ,what would an independent modern day woman do if she gets kidnapped & falls into the nasty inhuman acts of molestation? Reverse way ,its she who gets jail term ,an un-bailable warrant ; irony even the woman SHO ignoring the factual of the case against a woman & just working around the political power!

The 2nd half narrating trail scenes (court) seems to surely make one uncomfortable of the attacks against the women but alongside I sensed that the courtroom swayed away with the emotions (along with the judge). There could have been more of intellectual evidence reports ,rather than just fake aggression of prosecution to “admit money making business by the girls” ! Nowhere was the case discussed upon the kidnapping & molestation but just the crime was imposed upon by the judge on the boys. Well ,the presence of “AB” was a big impact on the movie ,his fight to help girls get justice even under his own “constant medication condition” ,his wife’s critical illness” ,his dialogues of creating rule book for women (if she laughs ,smiles & behave friendly with gang of boys) really amused us to the most ,but that is actually the characteristic mark on our society ! His terming of SHO as “Superwoman” & proving her report as false & back dated triggered applause. Prosecutions & Rajveer’s arguments of Girls drinking & partying do not belong to “Good family” ,hanging out with boys mean “they are into some business”.. made me yell! But, yes really it is a heart wrenching truth even in 21st century!

Presence of Andrea from north east & her being treated in a biased manner in Delhi did not actually mean anything in the movie context ,as the issue of North east students treatment was altogether a different issue in reality.

Summarising, “This movie stands as a big support to the women to stand out against this vicious circle of feudalism, masculine & political power ,to be determined to raise the voice & get the justice ! It also portrays relations beautifully be it faith of a landlord in the 3 girls even when he is attacked to drag out the girls from his flat; the love & togetherness of room-mates (Falak & Meenal) ; sheer coward of the “elder man” in relation with Falak ,who broke with her in the light of this incidence & above all the “Fight of Renowned Lawyer –Deepak Sehgal ,against the black power & for the respect of “She” power!

Scripting, performance is brilliant by all the actors, narrations by AB are actually laudable, background song “Kaari kaari raina saari…scorches your soul”

Pink , makes you scratch your heart & soul

Pink asks woman not to endure & lead the battle,

Pink asks the society & men to evolve now

It will sadden you ,it will make your soul cry ,it will make you more conscious!

Go watch it to acknowledge the truth of this society!! 4-Star for PINK!

Established Biggies vs JIO

Coming to Indian Telecom :

Bands comparison : Airtel now has 4G-spectrum (i.e. 1800MHz or 2300MHz) in all 22 circles, and both 1800/2300 frequencies in 13 circles while Jio has 2300Mhz across 22 circles ,additionally it has 1800Mhz+800Mhz combination in 20 circles . Reliance Jio also commented that it plans to provide seamless 4G services using LTE in 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz bands through an integrated ecosystem. This combined spectrum footprint across frequency bands provides significant network capacity and deep coverage.

Fact1 : 1800 Mhz is a more popular one ,with existing device ecosystem ,as 44% global 4G networks run on 1800Mhz.

Fact2 : 1800 Mhz requires 30% fewer towers than 2300Mhz ,hence cost effective as well.

Important facts for RJIO:

  1. Smart Phone supporting 4G : Yes that’s the mandate ,but since 4G runs on multiple frequencies ,hence for a full 4G experience one needs to buy a future ready 4G handset capable of working great on major frequencies & even on VoLTE (very few phones are VoLTE Enabled as of now ,hence JIO brought LYF into existence)
  2. Consumers can easily make Voice calls with VoLTE :
    1. Only VoLTE to VoLTE enabled handsets support VoLTE calls , calls made to Non VoLTE smartphones or to Circuit switch mode ,will not be VoLTE & will be Non HD.
    2. Free Voice calling is via VoLTE & non VoLTE Voice calls will be via JioJoin app(required only if the handset is Non-VoLTE Enabled) .If Call is made by whats app/Skype ,normal Data balance will be deducted.
    3. It is not at all mandate that to run the voice calls , mobile data have to be kept ON! Switch off the data & still you will be able to generate normal calls.
    4. Anyone can call JIO no., even a Non VoLTE enabled consumer can call, it’s just they won’t be HD calls but normal calls.
    5. It has been read that IR (International Roaming) is not feasible right now on JIO network ,it yet needs to have Roaming Tie-ups in place
  3. Jio has the largest optic fibre network in India , they have laid more than 250,000 kms of Optical Fiber Cable across India, also they have installed more than 90,000 4G LTE towers (few are ‘ Eco-Friendly’ towers)
  4. Jio is also planning to offer Ultra High speed broadband connections having speed as high as 1Gbps (But that’s yet awaited)
  5. Digitization : Yes ushering the dream of Late Dhirubhai Ambani , it has laid focus on “Digital verification & activation as well” ,although current issue lies with SIM issuance & activation which is getting prolonged to as high as 15-20 days , but actually they have e-KYC (Adhaar)based process with biometric scanners which can help in getting activated SIM cards in 5-10 minutes.

We all would have been cursing right now to stand in queues for SIM & might have had worst experience to see the activation delayed ,but ,this seems to “improper understanding of the demand of Indian consumers ,Indians are still swayed by “FREE –FREE OFFERS” .All their stores should have had 6months SIM stock supply ,so that none could run dry!

Although JIO has PAN India 4G network, but it yet needs to improve lot on the connectivity, since it does not have fallback option of 2G/3G, customers could have a bad experience in zones of no 4G coverage.

I believe JIO SIM yet has to be “Secondary” until great connectivity is established in next few months.

Plans & Pricing: What was said & what actually is on the plate : Rs50 -1GB astonished !!

  • All JIO packs have Unlimited Data usage from 2am -5am (Guess who would get up for those 3 hours just to use Free Data? Nearly zero audiences for this time frame,  hence benefit~0 )
  • Above JIO packs valid only on LTE Compatible handset

So nowhere does RJIO offer Data as cheap as Rs50 for 1GB for a layman with complete night sleep & no JIO hotspot nearby ;).

Also beware: In case you use Data post exhausting free Data, you will end up paying a 5p/Kb ,which is yet lower than other operators Data rates for “Pay as you go” surfing (which means for an avg.100MB ,you end up paying Rs50)

Yes you can reap complete benefit & have just Rs50 for a GB, if you utilize the extra Night Data as well as JIO wifi Hot spot data benefit! So run ,find a hot spot, grab a table & bang on !

What you refer:

  • If you Data consumption is low with just 300MB , opt for JIO 149 pack with FREE Voice , if around 1GB Pack ,go for Airtel/Voda .
  • Close to 2GB for a month , Vodafone has the best option ,JIO has only 21 days benefit ,you will end up paying 47Rs for 28 extra for JIO
  • 10GB(all Airtel ,voda & JIo has same MRP) any operator
  • Thumbs up for high Data users with JIO plans of 4GB, & >=20GB ,JIO plans are competitive enough & oust competition easily.

Personally ,I use Tata Indicom service in Delhi (CDMA) ,needs to be said their Mobile internet 3X speed is fine ,close to 2mbps at my place (obviously not at par with 4G ,but have a look at their plans & rates for a medium data user it’s great enough!)

Handsets: A bouquet to choose from, close to 20-25 handsets ranging from as low as Rs2999 to as high as Rs20k, was it a great business plan to launch such a range? Yes, it stood as one more business opportunity for them , but why LTE at that dirt cheap price ? They had procured refurbished handsets, lots of unsold 4G handsets from China in small lots & bundled it up with their brilliant “FREE Preview Offer”.

Simply brilliant, one’s which doesn’t sells in China , people are dying to opt them for Free Voice & Data !! This is a big money spell for Ambani !

Jio Apps : That’s the big Cat !! Free usage = Addiction = Paid subscriptions in 2018

Although the subscription is free for now, but pls be aware that any data used during these apps will be deducted from your regular data pack applicable at the time. This also includes video calls from Skype/any other app. Also, these Jio apps won’t work on non-Jio Networks, and one has to be on Reliance Jio 4G to access them.Check out few of the compelling content:

General public is not much glued to the apps as Money, TV , Newspaper, Cinema, Beats, Play ,On demand …No worries! They have complete range for you & that to FREE subscriptions!

    • My JIO account : Necessary to retrieve one hand info on Stores ,Hotspots, usage details ,raise service requests & get resolutions :Cool for JIO User
    • JioCinema: For Bollywood , Hollywood, regional movie buffs ,it’s all here ! With more than 1lac+hours of HD content, nearly zero buffering just watch your favorite movies with some (homemade pop –corns & coffee): Ready to beat Spuul /Netflix/Voot?
    • JioTV : Pause & Play Live TV channels ,watch your favorite past 7 days programs (perfect for mommies who miss out on their saas –bahu’s during dinner events;) ,Best part it is available in 10 languages – Ready to beat YuppTV/myplex Live TV/Hotstar ?
    • JioMags : “Book” in your hand, Offline read ,with huge library of e-books available ,Ready to beat Kindle /Kobo?
    • JioDrive: For storage of photos, movies, music , documents securely over cloud.
    • JioNewspaper: With more than 500 newspaper editions, (uncles no longer need to block the loos now)..Find the articles you are looking for ,go for a break & resume back! Gotcha ready to beat many Newspapers sites (The Hindu/Firstpost/NDTV/many more)
    • Well there seems to be “Magic Masala” for all ,with these apps in its bucket ,Jio can easily become the largest OTT player in India !

So the conclusion drives me is that :

It has already created turbulence in the so “stagnant Telecom industry”, consumers are gonna enjoy all, be it raining offers from Airtel or Voda to counter JIO (try a port out & you’ll see the interesting offers from Airtel & Voda ,much better than what Jio has in its kitty) or have a wonderful Data experience in towns with good connectivity from JIO.

Lot needs to be worked upon by JIO wrt their network which is highly fluctuating from 5 bars to just no bar at all , lot more on speed optimizations as the traffic becomes more & more congested ,more cheap plans in the offerings & yes a fallback option for voice calls!

SO win – win situation for Indian consumers ,Happy LTE!!

DO inbox me this article’s feedback’s /any points readers wish to share/improve upon!

Gold Mornings are here!!

#Colgate360GoldMornings

As the light rays of sun fall into my room touching my precious eyes..Kindling my smile..

Prompting my thoughts, thanking the God, giving me a day more to sing, dance, Play & LIVEJ

That’s the beauty of every morning, that’s the optimism showered every morning, when last day..

I Cried ,I wailed in pain ,I screamed loud ,I thronged to give up ,I lost all hopes ,& that’s when post a night’s sleep ,when I woke up ,saw the freshness & morning serenity around ,I pledged to pick up myself , re-bounded with the same vigour forgetting all the failures in a go..Isn’t that the best of all? That’s the beauty I’m narrating about!

Image source: A beautiful video on a wonderful morning -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oktwdSutsM -Carroll Roberson

A tight sleep & mornings have some charm, as I’ve often heard people quoting, take a sound nap & see you’ll be perfectly fine in the mornings..Rather have actually felt it. Gone are the days when I would lazily sleep ,creeping all over ,gone are the days of bachelorhood & I’ve welcomed a responsible phase ,of a working mother, mother of a toddler with responsibilities hovering over me & this has actually made me my morning time all the more PRECIOUS .

Why not ,that’s “Me TIME” when I love to see the beautiful sun shining out of the window, that’s when I rush to freshen up with ultra smooth & anti germ bristles of Colgate charcoal tooth brush to help me breathe freshness whole day ,that’s when I love to have my Gold Cup of coffee & begin this new day with all hopes & immense love .

It’s this freshness which rejuvenates my cooking in the form of breakfast & lunch for my baby, for my husband to ensure that they too have a GOLD morning. Oh yes! I’m not that lucky to be in my bed as late as 8am (which rather kid & dad often have ;)), but then that’s what I enjoy..Playfully singing in their ears, chanting rhymes & sometimes mantra’s, talking to them (with 80% time no answers 😉 in revert) ,lovingly capturing the innocence being showered by them in a glance .. & yes finally waking them up.. Yes guys that’s what I do post finishing my morning work (rather home work) .Isn’t it amazing? It actually is to see the pure smile on your baby’s face, to hear “mum” as soon as he opens his eyes, to hug him to share the warmth & love sparkling within! Thanks to “INCREDBLE MORNINGS”.

Then starts second round, to pamper my munchkin, & now is the turn to freshen him up…to splash water on his face & clean his mouth! Well he has not yet started brushing his teeth, but his love for GOLD BRUSH to have gold mornings have already taken their stanceJ .It’s so pleasing to see him holding the brush & making me re-do it ,sometimes not just in the mornings but even in the evenings .Well ,that’s the beginning of fresh etiquettes , an important part to have a sparkling smile is to keep your teeth & Gums healthy & none other than Colgate can help you achieve it!

Well, that’s my beautiful beginning & I would love to welcome more & more of such shiny mornings!

Ending with a quote to keep all of us jazzed up “No-one can dim the light that shines withinJ ,so keep twinkling, and keep up the hopes”

Exploration of rest of North GOA!! A great “Safar”

Part III

Here comes a complete “Grantha” on rest of North Goan Beaches explored the next day –

After a complete warm up session last day, this morning cool breeze welcomed us …Just gazing at the beautiful sky hovered over with long trees ,sitting besides the pool ,actually made me think of some poetic lines –

“O Mother ..mother earth ,

This nature seems to be so romantic..

This morning breeze seems to be so bliss..

Beneath the clouds playing peek-a-boo with golden sunrays

& The tiny droplets touching my face ..

The world seems so lost to me ,My life feels so worth to me ,

The tranquillity I feel is so amaze ,far away from the city gaze ..

The calmness within me astounds ..

& provokes to forget my past …Stand up & shout in your hands ,O mother earth”

Well !! Broken up by hearing my kids shout 😉 I ran to my room to again enjoy a” together time” & head for the yummy aloo –parantha’s waiting for us J

Full of vigour, we planned to go through our routes & explore some of the gentle beaches – Morjim ,Manderim ,Ashwem ,Arambol & Vagator for the day!

Here we started our bikes ,enjoying the route ,praying to God to somehow get a glimpse of the “Olive ridley sea turtles” as soon as we landed at the “Little Russia” of GOA (due to numerous immigrants ). Surprised to see many Russian sign boards but could relate when I came to knew of this “Little Russia”. Not only is it famous for Russian Trance parties ,but it is an important site for Olive ridley sea turtles, with the nesting sites as well for this endangered species.

Morjim beach is quite unique, the sand specifically is quite different (shiny blackish) ,fully absorbed with sea water… Numerous beautiful ,orange purple colored shells ,very clean beach ,& few locals there made me aware of the breeding seasons of sea turtles & their presence on the beach during Oct –Dec . (Even heard story of how this specie was not declared endangered some 20-25 years back & how locals used to see & even destroy the eggs laid by them)

Although facilities are limited ,less restaurant’s to provide good food ,this beach can be a stopover for close to an hour to just chill ,relax & keep the search button on for sea turtles (Oct –Dec) or have a party there ,but it is a must visit.

Moving ahead to Manderim , Clear blue sea water ,le’ss of crowd ,crystal clear white sand ,very large & clean beach..to have a beach walk!! Even the waves are not that high , so enjoy in water ,relax at the sea beds ,have some amazing food & drinks at few shacks available there. I did hear that many Health therapies are conducted here (of course during seasons) . This beach is just to sit , relax ,drink under the nature ,in front of beautiful clean sea & chill !!

The next stopover had to be Ashvem, which is actually connected to Manderim, but has an altogether different aura. For budget friendly people like us ,Ashvem has turned out to be a “Party Beach” (for people not preferring Baga/Calangute) .With plenty beach side huts & club houses ,it seems to be a perfect party place. South side of this beach is also a nesting site for sea turtles & security has been stepped up in the past to save this specie.

“La Plage” is a lovely place to have some French food amidst unwinding leisurely!!

From Ashvem ,we finally moved to cover up the last beach on that route –Arambol ,the route well trailing from mid of Arambol village with narrow lanes which led to the shores of this pretty beach. Being less commercialized compared to Baga & Calangute ,this beach is divided in 2 parts ,the southern stretch with ample sea beds to relax often termed as Harmal or Aramnbol & the Northern stretch generally known as “Kalacha Beach” , which can be accessed by 15-20 minutes of amazing & scintillating beach walk .As soon as we reached Arambol taking the path to kalacha ,we could spot many fisherman releasing entangled crabs ,fishes (lucky enough to catch glimpse of Hammer head also)to sell off to many eateries around serving Fresh sea food.(Also ,Fishing is the major occupation of this village)

As we kept on walking in the search of so called “Sweet water lake / lagoon”( A local at Morjim informed us to not to miss) ,this walk made us fall in love with GOA once again.. Lovely rocky formations along with sand ,covered by cliffs on both the side, & as we came near the rather secluded part ,spotting few stalls selling handicrafts & jewellery ,we were simply stunned to see the nature at its best there..It was such a lovely tiny beach & a fresh water lagoon perfect for swimming, which extends along the valley into the jungle. So unlike & uncommon was this tiny beach, far away from the crowdy places ,a juncture perfect for everyone. Even the cliffs surrounding are considered one of the best for paragliding & dolpinn watching as well. This beach is certainly not to be missed & to experience divinity of nature .

Cons : Not so equipped with professional hotels or restaurant ,so restrict your visit for 1-2 hours to simply relax & adore the place.

The first half of the day had been almost stunning exploring & we did deserve some break for Lunch & a tight sleep..

Pretty fresh, we planned to have spend few hours just on Vagator Beach ,very close to our accommodation but yet not touchedJ

So a very broad beach with many red cliffs & rocks ,Vagator is bifurcated into two two main beaches by a mid seaside headland wherein there are lots of stalls for drinks & snacks ,footwears & clothes . The top of this land gives a magnificent view of the rocky sea, surrounded by long palm trees & gazing at the waves splashing across the rocks. Sitting on the rocks ,keep your camera ready for few lovely sights being offered & then move down to the North Vagator .

With handful of people at 6pm, we could easily see fisherman packing their nets calling it a day…But with a broad base to walk & relax along, we were lucky enough to have a glimpse of a beautiful sunset . It was indeed a lazy evening with an hour of beach walk & pictures clicking ,we ensured that next &the last day we had to be there enjoying & playing amongst the waves .

Vagator houses few amazing dinning places ,the most famous one being ,Thalassa ,with authentic greek food (but it remains shut from June –Sep) ,but not just greek food ,this open air restaurant is famous for the sunset views along the beach. So ,we could just plan for another place – “Waters ,an amazing restaurant /club again with lovely sea side view conducting many parties. Enjoying the place, we had some Pizza’s & drinks .

Imp Point : The way to Waters from the main road is too dark with very few lights that too in a staggered manner ,one even has to cross grassland (it felt so) to reach the place ,so be cautious while driving .(Although sign boards make it simple).

Walking down the lanes back to the hotel ,this was a brilliant day ,heading towards the last day….

The Play of last day!!!

Saddened enough to think of this day being the last one ..Terrified to return back to that noisy crowded place…We vowed to enjoy it to the fullest …

Morning sunrays welcomed us to the pool ,with an hour of chatting & swimming with our besties to freshen up every move ,which was followed by quick breakfast as we had to head for Vagator !

Those 2-2:30 hours were full of fun ,thrill ..Well, what best could we have done with 2 little kids?? Guess…We got a bed-sheet ,disc ,ball ,all food items for kids along…spreaden the bed sheet ,made our kids sleep on the beach & looking at full safety on the beach ,we had a great play in the sea.. little inside.. more…more ..well 3/4th within the sea ,hand in hand ,playing ,running ,splashing waters on each other ,freaking ,shouting with joy ….It was absolutely stunning !! With no people around ,kids deep in sleep ,lovely weather (with no sun above) ,we enjoyed to the fullest .

Refreshing we returned back to our nest;) to play some beach volley ball ,disc ,till then few people had started approaching vagator . Little later with kids waking up ,it was a family affair ,to walk in the sea with kids ,make them touch water ,get them close to the nature..

Indeed it was such a thrilling end on so close & very less crowded beach.

Facts of Vagator:

  • Located in the North with apprx. 1hr travel from the Dabolim airport ,this beach is more occupied by Western Backpackers ,as it has ample places organizing trance parties .
  • In 2013, one of the most famous “Sunburn festival” shifted from Candolim to Vagator which made it more famous.
  • Many restaurant’s offering sumptuous food along with sea side view.

Returning from the Vagator at around 12pm ,saw us packing our bags & then leaving for a walk close to Anjuna Market to have”Coconut Water ,Bhutta’s” followed by Lunch .

Yes ,I was lucky enough to spot Cashew & Almond tress & just disclosing here..I did pluck few of them hanging from the tress out of curiosityJ

Returning back to Hotel ,it was time to bid adieu ,catch flight back to Delhi & face the “Honky Morning” ,far away from the pleasant ,calm & cozy mornings of past 5 days!!

Goa –Part II :: Way to Sinq ,Candolim ,Calangute !!

Morning sunshine hidden in the clouds, Massive dark clouds sprawling over the skies, partially hidden with huge swaying palm trees …Sitting besides the calm waters ,I felt blessed with such a serene morning..So calm, so placid..Amazed at the tranquillity which filled me with an energetic auraJ

Yes ,trip with 2 infants had to somewhat different & this day made us travel all through from our Hotel to Mapusa (To visit Child Care) ,but that ride of approx. An hour was itself a kick ,to see dramatic change in the lifestyle from the outskirts of the very awe-inspiring ,calm Goa to somewhat hustle bustle of city life (@Mapusa) ,a similar story –Kids boarding buses from schools ,people shopping / running for their daily chores ,but still it was far away from the crowd ,noisy ,polluted cities i had encountered & was living in .People were so friendly ,so warm at every step ,which made us fall in love with GOA once again not just for its beauty but then for housing charming GoansJ

So ,post quick visit ,we turned from Mapusa to the most scintillating ,Sinquerim ,Candolim & Calangute Beaches ,all in one side.

The path leading to those beaches were incredible & weather playing a “big cupid” 😉 ,Lush green grasslands ,it felt so on one side & huge palms ,swaying with all windy forces on the other …Riding at a speed of close to 80kmph ,both hands swaying along & I couldn’t resist to sing “Khamoshiyaan..Ehsaas hai…” & my kid really enjoying (I think he too was amazed) ,giggling & excited enough for these terrific trails J

Singing & dancing & shouting we first hit @Sinquerim, to have an initial look from Fort Aguada (& feeling jealous from residents of Taj Village just overlooking beach & gigantic massive sea). Exclaiming, WOW!!! Simply amazed..Cool breeze blowing off my hair, hitting my face hard to have a look at the stunning mighty waves hitting across the rocks & splashing water all around. Indeed, it can be certainly claimed that SInq is one of the magnificent beaches in Goa (It does have International level facilities for Para sailing, Scuba Diving, Wind surfing …but none in our plate due to off seasonL,Don’t pity on us ,next “ON-Season” trip would be soon coming up;))

Walking along the beach following into Candolim was a “Showery affair” ,sudden rain hit us hard & made us run a Km to the only shelter(a Restraunt) available close by…Restraunt owner rejoicing looking at the boost of his Fish Curry sale;) ,But “short of words” to express the strong thunderstorm & the striking look of the sea in front… Gazing at the droplets running down on one side & brawny downpour hitting the sea..Simply amazed, this day made worth of all “Off season tag”. God’s grace, in next 30 minutes, weather had normalized & we re-instated our beach & sea walk, hand in hand.. Those shells, numerous star fishes, fluorescent crabs amidst the waves & a gracious sunset to explore..It was the best ever moment & memoir to remain for in our lives..We continued our walk even when the night fell in, but by 8pm, we then decided to leave for the hotel .But yes, a wish remained in my heart, to explore the starry night, counting on stars, locating Mars, constellations & explore the galaxy along the beachJ .

On the way we did drop in @Calangute, yes it gives a feel of a royal beach looking at the crowd ,ample of eateries (even in the way along),count of hotels few big ones & few small but with great artifacts, many showrooms..But the beach is not the best of all. Although it was an off season ,yet it had maximum crowd ,ample shacks close to one another .Beach was not clean, even absence of swaying palm trees made me feel that it actually isn’t “Queen of all beaches” . Truly speaking, we felt that Baga & Calangute have been more exaggerated, due to shacks & many other facilities around them, but the crowd, cleanliness do make these beaches on a downside in my list. But a plus point, many Dolphin trips & water activities are conducted here in the season times..so head towards them ,get your adrenaline rush high with these activities & spend a pleasant & cool time @Sinq J & other beaches.
